Published in Calligrammes (1918), it questions social constraint (the tie) in the face of the fleetingness of time (the watch).

What does the calligram "The Tie and the Watch" represent?

The text of the poem visually draws a tie and a watch. The tie symbolizes the constraint of social conventions, while the watch ticks away the passing time, verse after verse, in a layout that imitates a dial.

Which format to choose for this poster of The Tie and the Watch?

This poster of The Tie and the Watch is available in 30 x 40 cm, 40 x 50 cm, and 50 x 70 cm.
