Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) created this poster in 1896 as a calendar supplement for La Plume, a Parisian literary and artistic review. The central female figure is surrounded by the twelve astrological signs inscribed in medallions.

The review La Plume, founded in Paris in 1889, published Verlaine, Mallarmé, and Apollinaire. This poster is now preserved at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
