Rêverie, Zodiac and the Study for the Salon des Cent: a set of three Alphonse Mucha prints, 20x28 in (50x70 cm), on the same cream paper. Three Art Nouveau muses, drawn in Paris between 1896 and 1898.

Three Mucha posters from his Paris years

On the left, the young woman crowned with flowers that Mucha drew for his printer, F. Champenois, as the company calendar for 1898. It was so admired that the magazine La Plume later published it as a decorative panel titled Rêverie. In the center, Zodiac (1896): a golden-haired profile inside a ring of the twelve signs, Mucha's first work under contract with Champenois, which became La Plume's calendar. On the right, the study for the Salon des Cent poster (1896): a face with closed eyes, dark hair scattered with stars, the pencil line still visible.

Why do these three Mucha prints work together?

We set all three on the same cream paper, at the same height, so the artworks line up at the top and bottom from one frame to the next. Each one is reproduced whole, with nothing cropped from the drawing, and its rounded corners follow Mucha's own border. Three faces, three heads of flowing hair, green, gold and sepia: the set reads as one.

How much wall space does a 20x28 triptych need?

Three 20-inch-wide prints hung 2 to 3 inches apart cover about 5.5 feet of wall. That is the width of a sofa, a headboard or a sideboard: Art Nouveau wall art for a living room, a bedroom or an entryway.

Where can you see Alphonse Mucha's work?

The Mucha Museum in Prague is devoted to him. Born in Moravia in 1860, Alphonse Mucha lived in Paris from 1887 to 1904, where he made the posters that defined Art Nouveau.

Is the set framed?

Frames are not included: the three prints arrive carefully packed, ready for the frame of your choice. 20x28 in (50x70 cm) is a standard size found in most frame shops.

A gift for Mucha and Art Nouveau lovers

For Christmas, a housewarming or a wedding: a gift that dresses a whole room at once, for anyone who loves Mucha, the Belle Époque or Paris around 1900.

Beautiful images deserve beautiful paper

The paper is an uncoated matte 170 gsm. Its surface stays slightly fibrous, the ink sinks in, the light spreads across it. Colors keep their depth, as on the page of a book.

It is eco-friendly paper from sustainably managed forests, and printed as close to you as possible to shorten transport.

Hanging a piece is not the same as seeing it once. It stays there, you find it again in passing, and the day pauses for a second. It is a moment you give yourself, and offer to those who live with you.
