The three prints in this set

Plate LXXVII: This plate belongs to the "Leaves from Nature" chapter of The Grammar of Ornament, where Owen Jones demonstrates how natural forms can be stylized without losing their botanical essence.

Plate XLIII: This plate XLIII comes from Examples of Chinese Ornament, published by Owen Jones (1809-1874) in 1867, eleven years after his famous Grammar of Ornament. Jones reproduced in chromolithography Chinese objects from the South Kensington Museum, today the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and other collections.

Plate XXVI: Owen Jones (1809-1874), Welsh architect and design theorist, dedicated his life to the study of ornament across cultures. The Grammar of Ornament (1856) is his masterpiece: 112 plates documenting Egyptian, Greek, Arab, Persian, Indian, and many other ornaments.

Hung side by side, the three prints read as a single piece on the wall.

How much wall space does a 20x28 triptych need?

Three 20-inch-wide prints hung 2 to 3 inches apart cover about 5.5 feet of wall: the width of a sofa or a queen headboard.

No: the three prints ship unframed, rolled and protected. 20x28 in (50x70 cm) is a standard size found in most frame shops.
