The Star, The Moon and The Sun: sun moon star tarot prints, a set of 3 Rider-Waite tarot wall art posters, 20x28 in (50x70 cm). Arcana XVII, XVIII and XIX follow each other in the deck, and hang here in that order: the night opening, the deep night, then the day.

Three arcana in a row

On the left, The Star: under a large yellow star and seven white ones, a kneeling woman pours water from two jugs, one into a pool, one onto the land. In the center, The Moon: a moon with a face between two towers, a dog and a wolf howling, a crayfish crawling out of the water. On the right, The Sun: a sun with a face above a wall of sunflowers, a child on a white horse and a large red banner.

The three cards share the same layout, centered on a cream background, with their number at the top and their name at the bottom. The blue sky and the yellow of the stars run from one to the next.

Where does the Rider-Waite tarot come from?

Published in London in 1909, it was drawn by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. Its images set the look of the modern tarot.

How much wall space does a 20x28 triptych need?

Three 20-inch-wide prints hung 2 to 3 inches apart cover about 5.5 feet of wall: the width of a sofa or a queen headboard.

Is the set framed?

No: the three prints ship unframed, rolled and protected. 20x28 in (50x70 cm) is a standard size found in most frame shops.
