"A naked woman kneels by a peaceful body of water, pouring water from two pitchers, under a sky studded with seven silver stars and one large golden star."

Symbolism and origin of the card

This card is taken from the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck, published in 1909 by Arthur Edward Waite and illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith. It is the most reproduced and studied tarot deck in the world: each card tells a complete scene (unlike the Tarot de Marseille, which is more symbolic and abstract for the Minor Arcana), making it the visual reference for modern tarot reading worldwide.

After the upheaval of The Tower comes The Star: hope, renewed serenity, gentle healing. It is the card of returning confidence after a trial, without naivety but with a true inner light.

What does The Star card mean?

The Star symbolizes renewed hope, healing, and serenity after a difficult period. It is one of the most positive cards in the tarot.

What size should I choose for this Star arcana poster?

Beautiful images deserve beautiful paper

The paper is an uncoated matte 170 gsm. Its surface stays slightly fibrous, the ink sinks in, the light spreads across it. Colors keep their depth, as on the page of a book.

It is eco-friendly paper from sustainably managed forests, and printed as close to you as possible to shorten transport.

Hanging a piece is not the same as seeing it once. It stays there, you find it again in passing, and the day pauses for a second. It is a moment you give yourself, and offer to those who live with you.
