Julie de Graag (1877-1924) created this engraving in 1917, at the heart of a period of intense creativity where she explored the expressive possibilities of woodcutting. Her colored backgrounds - green, yellow, black - create compositions of striking modernity, halfway between Japanese ukiyo-e and 20th-century graphic design.

This version with a green background fits particularly well into contemporary interiors or those with natural tones. Combined with the other cats in the series, it forms a coherent and decorative ensemble.
