Rosebushes under the Trees, The Kiss and Farm Garden with Sunflowers: a set of three Gustav Klimt prints, 20x28 in (50x70 cm), made to fill a whole wall. Gold in the middle, a garden in bloom on each side.

Three Klimt paintings from 1905 to 1907

In the center, The Kiss (1907): a couple wrapped in a golden cloak, kneeling at the edge of a flower meadow. On either side, two landscapes from the same years, less famous and just as lovely. Rosebushes under the Trees (1905) fills the canvas with green and blue foliage laid down stroke by stroke, white and pink roses at the foot of a trunk. Farm Garden with Sunflowers (1906) mixes yellow sunflowers with red, blue and white flowers, with no sky and no horizon.

All three prints share the same layout: the painting on top, its title, Klimt's name and the year below, on a cream background. The flower meadow of The Kiss echoes the two gardens, which is what holds the set together.

How much wall space does a 20x28 triptych need?

Three 20-inch-wide prints hung 2 to 3 inches apart cover about 5.5 feet of wall. That is the width of a sofa, a headboard or a sideboard: wall art for a living room, a bedroom or an entryway.

Where can you see Klimt's The Kiss?

The Kiss hangs in the Belvedere museum in Vienna. Gustav Klimt died in 1918, so his paintings belong to everyone, and anyone can hang them at home.

Is the triptych framed?

No: the three prints ship unframed, rolled and protected. 20x28 in (50x70 cm) is a standard size found in most frame shops.
